Chana Vada

Ingredients:
75 g – urad dal
250 g – chana dal
2 to 3 – red chillies
a pinch of asafoetida
2 – small onions
salt to taste
Method
- Wash and soak both the dals separately in water for about 4 hours.
- Drain and grind to a slight coarse paste with all the above ingredients with the exception of onion.
- Add minced onion.
- Form into round vadas on a wet cloth and deep fry to a golden colour.
- Drain and serve hot with chutney of your choice
