Dal Vada

Ingredients:
1 cup – moong dal
2 tbsp – urad dal
1/2 cup – chana dal
1 – big onion, minced
4 – green chillies, minced
a few sliced curry leaves
1 tsp – cumin seeds
1/4 – coconut, finely sliced
a pinch of soda
salt to suit the taste
Method
- Soak the dals separately in water for about 4 hours.
- Drain out the water and grind finely.
- Mix in the rest of the above ingredients.
- Form into round balls and deep fry to golden colour.
- Drain and serve with chutney.
