Pepper Garlic Fish Filling
Ingredients:
fish fillets – 350 gm
oil – 4 tbsp
garlic – 2 tsp, finely chopped
onion – 1 cup, finely chopped
chili powder – ½ tsp
cumin powder – ½ tsp
turmeric powder – ½ tsp
freshly ground black pepper powder – ¾ tsp
ready to use tamarind pulp – 1 tsp
Method
- Chop the fish into tiny pieces.
- Heat oil, fry garlic till brown.
- Add onion, fry till light brown.
- Add all the powders.
- Add fish, salt and tamarind.
- Add ¼ cup of water and simmer till the fish is cooked and the mixture thick.
- Place some filling on chapathi or paratha.
- Sprinkle with some finely chopped fried curry leaves.
- Roll up and serve.
Note:
Make round chapathis or layered (lacha) parathas and use any of the following fillings to give a new touch to Katti rolls.
